The Peach Pit Day Program offers tailored resources and case management for teens and young adults navigating adversity. The program works to empower participants to take charge of their own lives. Rooted in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, the program focuses on the holistic well-being of participants, addressing their physiological, safety, love/belonging, esteem, and self-actualizing needs.
Participants will receive essential support through referrals and case management in areas like housing, food, education planning, emotional well-being, and life skills. The program promotes personal growth, self-confidence, and independence, ensuring each participant has the foundation to succeed. By engaging in the program’s activities and working closely with the case manager, participants will develop the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges and thrive.
-
A case manager develops personalized plans for participants, helping them set and achieve goals while fostering self-advocacy. They connect participants to community resources, offer emotional support, and guide them in areas like time management and communication. Through regular meetings, the case manager empowers participants to build resilience and navigate challenges, serving as a mentor, advocate, and resource connector to ensure their success.

Between Now and the Peach' Pit’s Opening
You will meet at a location that works well for you and your case manager. This will likely be the Funhouse, the Library, or Orcas Island High School.Starting September 2025
Participants will meet at the Peach Pit where a dedicated space for the Day Program will be set up. This area will have a designated spot for you to store any work you’re doing, and you’ll be provided with all of the necessary supplies to work on your individual goals. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to work with community resources, either at their locations or at the Peach Pit, based on your preference. Together with your case manager you’ll create a personalized weekly schedule that aligns with your needs. -
Your primary case manager will be Meagan Gable, known in the community as “Ms. Meagan.” She holds a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Theater and Social Work, as well as a Master’s in Education Counseling. Ms. Meagan is deeply passionate about supporting youth and has an extensive background working as a school counselor, a prevention intervention specialist, a teacher, and an overseer of recreation and after-school programs. While she will be your ongoing support and advocate, you will also be connected to numerous other community resources to help you achieve your goals.

Your participation in the Day Program is entirely up to you. It’s a voluntary program, meaning you can choose to leave at any time. The program is open to participants up to the age of 20. The Day Program follows the OISD annual calendar, including summer and breaks. The Day Program is open from 12pm-4pm, Monday through Friday.
